Makenzie Shubnell is a Central Michigan University alumnae, with a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in photojournalism. Being actively involved in the media, she has both written and photographed for her school publications, making journalism one of her biggest passions. Before pursuing her collegiate career, she was both a dancer and an athlete, participating in both club and high school volleyball as well as performing at a local dance studio for over 15 years. She is a native Michigander with Belgian roots, and grew up just north of Detroit in the city of Rochester Hills, a perfect location for executing her love for both photography and concert-going.
